Life as Language Assistant in Small town Quimperlé...
Teaching is easy..... NOT! It is surprisingly time consuming and stressful. There is nothing worse than trying to teach students in a language they don't understand...
I have been assigned to the City of Quimperlé, Brittany, where there is a population of around 10,800 people. It is also the smallest city I have ever lived in. In this city, I work at four schools, College Jules Ferry (middle school), École première Brizeux, Thier, and Lezardeau (Elementary schools. I work with students in Grade 1 to grade 8 (CE1 to 4ème).
It is sure difficult!! I find that working with younger children is much easier because it's easier to evoke their interest in
English. With the teenagers, it is always a challenge.
After couple months of this.... I have decided do not want to become a teacher.
